After analyzing American’s existing energy conservation measures, utility usage, and maintenance expenses, InSite was able to identify the crucial issues. First, a lack of visibility hamstrung engineers from identifying and fixing anomalies that waste energy and impact student comfort. While their BAS Integrated their systems, it lacked the learning algorithms for flexibility across dozens of buildings and continuous improvement.

American chose InSite’s Operational Systems (OS) module to bridge systems and equipment to enable centralized, proactive business intelligence across systems. InSite’s OS is designed to analyze and learn from systems data to predict usage, trends, and anomalies. The decreased utility usage is compounded by converting repair and replacement costs to a significantly lower maintenance expense. When unforeseen issues arise, the OS takes fault data and then sorts, prioritizes, and recommends the optimal course of actions.
